Ok here's the deal I fit a 91 teg as a shell and I took the perfectly running ls out of my ef and threw it in the da while the motor was out I replaced the water pump gasket and I think maybe the timing belt is off by a tooth but the real problem I'm having is that I fille up with some gas and as soon as I pulled out of te station it started sputtering bad and throwing a code 9 which is cylinder #1 position sensor so I looked all over and never really found a real solution to that problem besides change the distributor so I found one on craigslist and same thing but it does run a little better and not sputter as much ok so last night I go on te highway and I punch it up the on ramp and I get to around 6k and it like cuts off it was like if you turned your car off but left it in gearand I pressed the clutch in tried to give it gas and it cut off completely it only does that when I punch it and get up around 6k well I searched and searched and any time I found any problem that sounded remotely like this it only had a few posts mostly from te person that started started the thread thy said I really need help anyone have any ideas so my questions are what could cause my car to do that and also could my timing being off a tooth cause the code 9 and sorry for any misspelling stupid autocorrect on the iPhone always screws me
Was this a 1991 Integra shell you bought and placed your swap in? Besides rechecking the timing I would also take a look at your fuel pump and filter. I mean if the shell you bought has been sitting for awhile then there could be some problems with the two.

Your post is almost unreadable with no punctuation or paragraphs. yes I post from my iPhone too sometimes but I still use punctuation and paragraphs.
And your thread title is completely useless. I would edit the title but I can't really tell what you're asking, as I don't care to strain my eyes to try to follow that massive block of text from line to line.

Ditto the above^^^
Kind of hard to understand when it is one long sentence.
I am surprised it runs at all if valve timing is off even one tooth.
I would redo the valve timing and check ign. timing and definitely check fuel pressure.
You have a G2 so you will need to drop the gas tank to pull the pump, and if it is the pump and you need to replace it, find a G3 at your local PicknPull and cut out the fuel pump access panel, [under rear seat] and weld, [JB Weld and pop rivets/sheet metal screws will also work] it into place in your G2, well worth it if you ever have to get to the pump again. 94

Ok cool what are you guys the grammar police thought the purpose of this site was to help others not blast them for something petty I don't even know why I bother with ht anymore it's so useless
People can't help you if they cannot understand your question....
Proper punctuation helps us help you. You should quit h-t.com and enroll in remedial english classes. You are the reason this site is not what it once was.

I do see a lot of people acting like grammar police. If you just read and comprehend what's typed then you can understand it. I always feel if you don't have something useful to say then don't type anything.

That's the point, it's VERY hard to read in it's current format, especially on a widescreen monitor. The lines of text are so long that it's difficult to know what line is next when your eyes go from the right side back to the left side of the screen.
you are an idiot for even driving your car knowing that the timing belt is off a tooth. it would take you and hour to fix this problem. and also you said you are ripping on it with your motor this way! makes you even more of an idiot. fix your timing belt and then come back and tell us if you are having this same problem. poor motor!
The guy ask for help on his car not his grammer,People who belittle others are only belittling themselves.Sorry, just saying. As for your car start all over check timing then go onto wiring.I had something like that happen due to a loose connection on dizzy....GL
Put it this way.. his question would have been answered much quickly and efficiently had he used the correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation. That's the point the moderator was trying to make.
It's not a matter of "cut the bs and just help the guy" as you typically would think. What if we give incorrect information simply because we had the wrong interpretation?
Anyway, let's see if I can interpret..
Ok, here's the deal. I got a 91 teg as a shell and I took the perfectly running ls motor out of my ef and threw it in the da. While the motor was out, I replaced the water pump, gasket, and I think maybe the timing belt is off by a tooth. But the real problem occured after I filled up my tank with gas. As soon as I pulled out of the station, it started sputtering bad and throwing a code 9(which is cylinder #1 position sensor). I looked all over and never really found a real solution to that problem other than to change the distributor. I found one on craigslist, but the same thing keeps happening. However, it does run a little better and not sputter as much. So last night I go on the highway and punch it up the on ramp. I get to around 6k and the power cuts off. It was as if you turned your car off but left it in gear. I pressed the clutch in and tried to give it gas. The engine cut off completely. It only does that when I punch it and get up around 6k. I searched and searched. Any time I found any problem that sounded remotely like this, it only had a few posts mostly from the person that started the thread. They said, "I really need help anyone have any ideas?" So my questions are: What could cause my car to do that, and also could my timing being off a tooth because of CEL code 9? Sorry for any misspelling, stupid autocorrect on the iPhone always screws me.
There, I helped him help you help him.

Ok - have you a) drained the fuel tank (perhaps flush it too) and b) changed the fuel filter?
If it started with a fuel up, it is logical to infer bad fuel and therefore these are reasonable steps to recover...
Misfire can be due to poor gas, and confine itself to (mainly) one cylinder for any number of reasons.
Just a thought.

i know for a fact code #9 is not cylinder 1 position sensor because there is no sensor for this. crank sensor maybe? have you taken a fuel gauge while your driving to see if it holds steady or not? i wouldnt be dropping a tank if you dont have 2. you could probalby have fuel checked, ive done it in classes forgot prodecure but its quite simple.

There's a bolt at the rear/bottom/driver's side of the fuel tank in the DC2... just put a container under it, pull the plug, and let 'er drain. Unless you feel there is enough junk that won't leave...
You could toss some sea-foam in there to grab any water residue, as part of the rinse.
Flush with a gallon or so of fresh fuel, drain, plug, re-fill.
Of course, you can drop it too and have better luck shakin out the junk through the fuel pump hole - if you see enough junk from draining it to convince you pulling the tank is necessary.
I'd drain first, then decide.
YMMV
