well i just put my speedo cable in my crx, but how do you know when its hooked into the tranny, i just put it in the tranny and went for a test drive and no speed is registered, i tried it again and still the same thing, anything im doing wrong...

 

are you sure it's pressed all the way down?it should almost feel like it snaps into place when done right

 

Do you have it pushed in so that the clip holds it in place?

 

on the hollow metal post that you put the cable into there is a horizontal slit about 2/16 of an inch thick.,and on the metal end of the cable there is a groove about the same thickness.there is a metel clip that fits over the post and sits in that slit that holds the cable in place using that groove.you need that clip!
