Just picked up this hatch - I will post progress pics as I progress lol - Since I have a Correctional Officer at home (wife) It might take a little longer to build, but I will hopefully get it done by the summer of 2012

 

Any interior shots? Engine bay? Looks to be a pretty good starting point as long as its not too hacked up and the engine bay isnt completely trashed... Good luck with it

Your setup looks good. The type r trans might be geared a little too low but idk. I feel like my gsr trans is too low.

 

It might..... but I wil ltry it. My buddy just ran a 10.01 at Vegas on a Type R transmission and he ran it up to 9,800 RPM's before he let off. So who knows.... But he was on 26's.

 

26's would explain that. I only plan on runnin a 24.5's until i get a stonger driveline

 

You will def run out of gear with a type r trans on 24.5 without a really high rev limit

 

Not sure what your goals are, but I went 150mph on 24.5s with an ITR tranny rev'n to 9800.

That's odd.... .But then again many other factors comes into consideration. I will only find out once I get out there.

Whats the worst that can happen, I get to take it off and trade someone for a GSR with LSD Trans? - Yeah that shouldnt be a big problem. Maybe..... Who knows. But this is what racing is all about, mix and matching for that perfect combo.
