I had only a slight timing chain tensioner tick while I had my aem dual chamber intake on. Since I sold it I put on just a short ram air from my bros rsx. Thus all happened Tuesday. So Wednesday morning I start it up to hear this.

Now idk WTF happened but I just dumped 7k on my turbo kit and am comPletly broke. Money and spirit wise. I am thinking it's just valve lash and I hope so but has anyone else had this problem? It sounds like it's coming from the intake valves. Please help a brother out!
Car has 114k and motor is supposed to have 20k less. I've had it since last July and have replaced the clutch rear diff and motor mounts. What's next? Got it with 97k and have DD since except for this winter. Has a tanabe super racing medallion exhaust and had my AEM intake. Never heard this till now.

Sounds like something with the rocker assembly. Has a valve adjustment been performed lately? It almost sounds like the nut on one of the valve tapets came loose. I would pull the valve cover and chech the valve lash on both sides, exhaust and intake

checked the valve lash and its nice and tight. either my timing is off and i bent a valve its a bad misfire. my plugs are white

so i looked around on here more and cylinder #4 must have gone out. now its time to either replace or rebuild. idk what would be cheaper. but either should be reliable. im thinking of bc rods acl bearings and wiseco pistons to keep her running good if i have to do a rebuild. im prolly gonna keep the motor at the stock c:r and then boost it like it was planed to be.
