Default I need to get my DA to pass smog (California blows) input needed please!

My '91 LS has a cheap cold air intake and is missing the charcoal canister. Stuff seems to be unplugged everywhere. Will I need a stock intake and a charcoal canister to pass smog? Or is charcoal canister not necessary?

It also has headers and exhaust, but the headers are CARB certified. Does the exhaust need to be certified as well? What else should I make sure is good before I take it to get smogged? Thanks in advance

Plug all your vacuum lines properly following the Emissions Label on your hood, you will need a charcoal canister to pass the visual part, have all your vacuum lines connected, and for the EVAP test aswell. And yes you will need a stock intake if yours does not have a CARB EO number for that year/make/model. Make sure the headers CARB number is for your car year/make/model, and you shouldn't have any problems with the exhaust as long as you have a stock cat or one approved for that car.

If it won't pass the sniffer test...

Get an old stock exhaust and drill a couple of holes in it. It increases the O2 in the exhaust and dilutes the amount of "bad" chemicals they read and of course it lets some out of the holes before it gets to the sniffer

I took my GSR in with stock rusty exhaust leaking all over lol! They didn't say anything and it passed. My O2 readings were like 5% lol!!!

would it be possible to bypass my charcoal canister? This might be a stupid idea but what If I connected a hose from the port on the top side of the throttle body to the port in the firewall? would this throw a CEL or cause any issues?
