Heads up on new battery tech.
Just a FYI be very careful with some of the new battery technology like Randy said some of them can be extremely dangerous if not used properly. As is don't go buy some random lithium batteries connect them to your car or charger and see how they work because you might a have bomb on your hands. Buy from a trusted company that knows your application, how you are going to charge and discharge them etc and they are a great.

Seems to be the new thing this year so I just wanted to bring this up, I have seen first hand these things blow up when used in the wrong application.

i learned this lesson
my son uses lipo and almost set the kitchen on fire when a 22v pack went up..be very careful. There are signs you must look for in the battery pack that indicates potential problem. At that point immediately discontinue any use.

Yes yes, that dude has deep seeded battery anger issues. Many of them were only hooked up to a charger, I just used this video as visual example of how potent these little batteries can be.
there is different types of lithium batteries....the LiPo or lithium polymer batteries can explode....the kinds people are using in cars are lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) these are much safer.
