Im swapin a 89 d16a6 into my 89 crx dx d15b2 it doesn't have a vin on it tho i looked everywhere will I be able to pass a ca smog test if I got everything smog legal?

 

Vin's didn't come out on motors til 96 I believe.

yes, aside from having to convert to mpfi. other than that your good to go.

 

As long as its legit no jumpers I should be good tho rite

The lsv has been in my Rex for about 4yrs now I think? I've smog'ed it at least 2 times. But then again my car is bar'ed for a 1.8 motor

hey question on ur ls-v cuz im guessing ur obd1 did u have to have the data link when u went to get reff'd?? im jus about ready to tak my hatch in with a b16 i jus need to no how to run the evap purge solenoid n the data link ill b set any thing else on wha i can do for the swap id appreciate ne info

You can get it smogged from some ghetto garage for some extra $$ but good luck finding one willing to let their secret out to new comers, and if they do you better start looking for your next place anyways because it won't be long til they get shut down.
