'98 EDM EJ9 - Germany/Deutschland
Just picked up my first car here in Germany. Funny, I've been here for more than two years and haven't owned a car. There isn't much of a Honda scene here or following, but you can come by very clean cars with low miles on the cheap.
So, here's my '98 EJ9 1.4L. 83,000 miles. Clean. No mods or jackassery. Cost about $3,000 US which included inspection and emissions.
I'm not an expert on all of the differences between USDM and EDM, but here's what I've got so far for ya.
-1.4L basically a D16Y7 w/ less stroke.
-Made in Japan at Suzuka
-Much better interior finish. Carpet is an big upgrade over US. And of course the JDM style seats.
-Amber gauges in KMH, Clock, and I've never scene this Pioneer Factory CD player. Also amber lit.
-Rear fog light integrated in to left tail.
-Interior adjustable headlight beam.
-Amber side markers
-Clear headlights I beleive with City Lights but haven't fooled around with them yet.
Now for all you high gas price whiners. I filled up today, full tank, on E10 and it cost me about $83 USD. Gas here is about $8 per gallon, so that 1.4L isn't going anywhere.
Peace out.

Wow, that's an unbelievably clean first car. Great find, to be honest. A couple of minor modifications, and it'd be a perfect car all-round. Keep it clean, bud.
