Default '99 Accord -- moon roof lubrication?

Curious if there's a maintenance manual that indicates lube points for the moonroof/sunroof? It seems to be rather slow these days and sounds like the motor is stressing to move it. I'm guessing I either have a motor about to go out or, hopefully, just need to lube up the slide mechanism somehow.

Yes you want to lubricate the slides. lithium grease, silicone,l or any number of lubricants used for this purpose is acceptable.

Yeah just use you fingertip to put it on. A little is all you need.

Fingertip or a Q-tip.

If you don't have the lubricant, pick up a tube of Shin-Etzu industrial strength silicone grease from the Honda Dealer. Will be about $15 for a toothpaste sized tube of it.

Also use this in your window tracks (the rubber part) to keep your windows going smoothly. Use Q-tips and soapy water to clean the tracks (the exposed part, no need to take the door apart) then more Q-tips to rub down the inside of the tracks with the grease (I also have a '99 Accord, though no moonroof).

I use a similar technique but I prefer isopropyl alcohol to remove old lube/grime. Coffee stir sticks or popsicle sticks with a little piece of t-shirt fabric work as well (just a preference ). I keep silicone spray on hand for lots of things, works well, as it doesn't seem to attact dirt and grime as much as grease does.

in the owners manual it says your supposed to lube the door and trunk weatherstripping/sills too. When the doors start getting suctioned shut I use spray silicone.
