wtf? i need help guys
Ive got a 91 crx dx and i just sent it to a shop to get a single none vtec zc installed... i thought they got 128 hp... and if its none vtec wassup with this?? they said i need a 91 crx si ecu 91 crx si complete wiring harness and 91 crx si fuelinjection system and intak.. is this correct? what exactly do i need for the entire zc single none vtec swap into a 91 dx?
refer to this website about the dx conversion: http://dmoore.com/crx/zc-dx-swap.htm
the dx models are the hardest ones to do motor swaps from what i heard.

few othet shops told me it bolts right inand all that stuff isnt nessasary.. what kinda improvement in performance would i getif i got the ecu and harness and fuelinjector system
Well if that is what the shops told you they are wrong!!!!!!!!!!Direct drop if thats what they said means that it will fit in your car with out using an aftermarket mount kit, uses your stock mounts. On a DOHC non-vtec motor from a jdm crx you will need: ZC motor, your car wired for MPFI because it is DPFI(two less injecters) and a SI or ZC ecu depending on which one you want to run. You can use your stock D-series tranny but upgrading the tranny would be a very good idea either get ahold of a si tranny or if the motor comes with a ZC tranny you will need axles from like a 89 teg.
It doesnt matter if it is SOHC or DOHC ZC... they aren't the DPFI type... they are made to be used with MPFI... you can put all your DPFI junk on it, but why do that when it will basically be the same thing as the motor you have now.

Im putting, well tomorrow it should be done, in a sohc zc, from what i hear, the dohc zc is 128 but the sohc zc is still around 100. Correct me if im wrong, but i don't think i am. I will find out some time this week wheather or not it has 128 hp, w00t if it does, no biggy if it doesn't
i got another option.. i can trade my 91 dx with fucked up interior ugly paint and fucked up fenders... with a 95 civic front end .. angel eyes skyline bumper loweredx on maxspeed coils and d15b for a 89 clean dx with sunroof too.. clean interior nice paint lime green.. nice tires/wheels dohc zc intake/headers no exhaust with all the ecu fuelinjection and ect and it runs 14.8 ... basically i can trade my car +1200 for it? or just finish the sohc zc swap on my car then buy the ecu and harness and fuelinjection in a couple weeks and run ghetto rigged... cause if that works ill have my conversion still and i can still paint the car the color i want and i can get it just as fast once i get the rest of the stuff i need.. what u guys think??
hey guys.. if i got a si ecu and si harness could i make the stock japanese intake system that came with the zc.. work with it? and does the person who is selling still have the swap? help help i need mpfi stuff ;p
I would think unless your ZC didn't come with an intake mani, or it came with a fubar intake mani. you should only need the ECU (88-91 si, 90-93 teg, or zc), and the 88-91 Si engine wiring harness (to rob plugs off of) all of the other parts should have come with the engine.
