Hi i have a 1991 dx civic hatchback. The fuel fuel thank is beginning to rust from the seams. since i can not find a 91 tank anywhere, i was wondering if any other years were cross compatible? thanks.

 

the 90 should be, im unsure about the 88-89 as I know some things are different between those year sets.

 

I just dropped my tank in hopes of cleaning out all the sludge and 2yr old gas that was in there. Tried everything...ended up spending 30 buck on stuff to clean it with.
Ended up going online to RockAuto.com and ordering one for right at 100.00 (shipped)!
I should have done that from them onset!

 

The wrecking yards dont have extra ones?? I bought one for my 91 for $45.

I heard crx tanks are the same or similar. Cause the only things that is holding up the tanks are the two straps. But the hf model only has 10.xx gallons compared to the si or dx which has 12.xx gallons. I just bought a used oem one from eBay. I heard buying a new one that isn't oem can still rust from the inside cause of the material. But hope you find one. And good luck..
