96 hatch stalls out while coasting in neutral
Hello everyone I have another tech question. I have a 96 Ek hatch with about 142,xxx miles on the d16y7. Now this just started happening today I went on the freeway everything was fine. I exit the freeway and I'm rolling to the stoplight and throw it in neutral and the RPMS go all the way down and the car stalls. So I start it back up thinking it was my mistake. So I keep going into a parking lot and it does it again. I stop and turn it on again. Sit there the idle is steady at about 500-600 rpm when idling this only happens when I'm rolling in neutral. Someone please help me! Car is obviously a 5 speed. Thank you.
Well when coasting to the lights and when I stopped I had to keep hitting the gas because it felt like it was about to die. The RPMS were at like 200.
chech if there is a vacuum leak or see if its the idle air control valve just try to hit it with pliers to see if its stuck closeds. i had the same problem it was the iac valve.

Going to get a new one. And if it doesn't fix it what else could this problem be?

I'm having the same problem with stalling out, only mine will do it anytime you let off the gas. I cleaned the IAC valve and throttle body, but it's still doing it. Very interested in feedback on what's going on. Too cheap to take it to a shop for something I might can fix myself.
