Any help is good help,
I just got a 98 accord and the trans downshifts kind of hard when going back first, i have a CEL on so disconnected the battery and now the trans. is working fine, but after about 40 miles has gone back to the same problem. not sure what kind of oil it has
any ideas?

 

Check the fluid.

Then, does the D4 light up when you first turn the car on-bulb check....
