Runs fine til the CEL, then hesitates, wont start
that pretty much sums it up. I'll drive a little while, the CEL will come on and then its like I have to give at least twice as much gas to get going. Then sometime after that happens it wont start for a day or so.
I thought Id ask here before having someone check it out

I have the same problem on my D15b6 except for the start up issue. Though it does struggle sometimes. Anyway I'm in for an answer.
well I changed out my fuel pump which has resolved the starting issue, but the CEL and hesitating issue is still there
^^ Dam, you beat me to it.

Duh, I'm an idiot. I was thinking wrong gen. You can check those codes yourself, sorry.
See if the injectors are working. If not clean or replace BOTH.
Check the TPS for a bad wire/connector. Also check the throttle plate in the throttlebody throat for looseness, whether it's catching anywhere, or has extensive buildup.
I believe the TPS is riveted in, the easiest way to replace it is to replace the whole throttlebody (they don't sell the TPS separate). I have seen a DIY in the forums for drilling and re-riveting the TPS though.
*It's still a good idea to inspect the grounds and harness (especially where it goes thru the firewall). After all, your car is 20 years old.

You can cut a slit in the bolt heads and remove the tps. Then just buy an aftermarket tps from omni power or BLOX. They can be found for as little as $25
