Default D series shifter on a B series

Was wondering if i can use a d series shifter on a B series, from the looks of it the shifter looks short when trying to connect to the linkage. I maybe wrong, can anyone straighten this out for me?

You need a B-series linkage when doing a B-series engine swap.

i did pick up a b series linkage. it has the bigger stabilzer, but i dont know if the linkage i have is right. how can you tell the difference from a b series toa d series linkage. it seems to have a wide fork opening for the integra shifter. and would the linkage for the b be longer than a d.

A b series shifter is longer and it has a little block on the end of one of the links that looks like a weight. only a b series linkage will fit a b series engine. try to see if it fit the tranny linkage holes first it goes in like a manchine pressed bearing once it goes in its hard to get it out.the only way its coming out is with a prybar.

turned out the guy who sold me the linkage mixed a b series stabilizer with a d series linkage. suprisingly the d series linkage is an inch longer than a b series linkage
