CAR IS SOLD!
Thanks everyone for looking, this can be removed!
As the title says, you are looking at a black 2000 Honda Civic EX coupe with a built motor and a turbo setup. I actually had plans to keep this car much longer (had it for about 2 years), but I’ve decided I’m going to need something that is a bit more usable as a daily driver.
Car has about 96,XXX on the body, got it with 84,300. The turbo setup and motor were all done by the previous owner around 1,500 miles before I bought it from them. The car was tuned by Lowe Performance in Alton, IL and made about 270whp at 11psi and a little over 300whp at 14psi (yes, I do have a dyno chart). As you can see from the mod list, it can make more power, but I personally was perfectly fine with it as it is. I’ve also added a few things since then.
Here is a list of what the car has to date, and forgive me if I forget a thing or two.

-D16Y8 bored .25 over
-Brian Crower stage 2 turbo cam

-ACT 6 puck clutch
-Fidanza 8lb flywheel

-VIS oem style carbon fiber hood

-Polk 6X9’s
-Python alarm and remote start (2 remotes, has worked flawlessly)
Some more details…
THE GOOD:
-Interior is kept VERY clean I'm still improving things
-NO RUST!
-Car hasn’t had that many miles put on it. I only take it to work and school and definitely don’t take long trips with it. Anyone who knows me knows I baby this car.
-Car runs and sounds great! Exhaust note is nice and deep with a hint of the aftermarket cam.
-Oil changes every 3000 miles at least (Mobil 1 extended performance 10w-40 and was just done) and all maintenance is up to date (everything is in good working order, trans fluid changed a few thousand miles ago with Honda MTF).
-The 5zigens have been removed every winter and I use a set of stock wheels (will also come with the car!)
-I've also have boxes and receipts from most of the stuff I bought, as well as extra parts and pieces that will come with the car!
THE NOT SO GOOD:
-The car burns a bit of oil. Nothing serious (and not unheard of with a turbo setup) that I’ve noticed but I thought I’d disclose it.
-The front bumper was spray painted black when I got it and it was not done well. I intended to get it properly painted at some point but because I have had to remove it every so often to fix or modify things I just gave it a better respray (with clear coats). You can see in the pictures that it is noticeable but it works well for now. Can be addressed easily in the future.
-Clear coat on the hood has come off in a spot or two.
-Rest of the paint has normal wear and tear but again, no rust!
-A few MINOR things:
-Right now two interior pieces need to be addressed (missing cruise control button assembly and the clear piece that goes over the instrument cluster). I have been working to find reasonable deals on these pieces so hopefully they will be addressed by the time of sale.
-The exhaust was bent to go over the passenger rear control arm. On a hard bump, especially if a person is sitting in the rear on that side, it will bump the control arm. There is NO DAMAGE (and I will be happy to show you) but it does happen and I don't want it to freak anyone out thinking there is something wrong. It's just hard to bend 3 inch piping through there.
-Passenger fog light is being a pain right now (first it was the other side, now this one magically goes out). The wiring is good so it's probably the bulb. I will try and have that addressed if I can but I just may not have enough time.
Price: $8200 OBO
A trade would be fine (willing to put money on top) but I do have some criteria:
-Needs to get decent gas mileage (mid 20's or higher).
-I'm not really looking for a truck or anything truck-based.
-Only cars I'm specifically looking at right now are WRX's or clean Civics (92-00 or 8th gen Si's). Keep in mind I'm looking for something more daily drivable so no projects/built cars. If I could handle that right now I'd just keep this.
Go ahead and send what you got, the worst I can say is no. Lowballers can offer what they want, just don’t expect a response. Plenty more pictures are also available.
Also info regarding test driving is available in the 14th post and there will be NO PARTING OUT of this car!

My first guess for the oil burning is that the center section of your turbo is on an angle and isnt draining properly and cause the seals to be bad otherwise more serious issues

The next thing my friend had plans for was to get a new turbo manifold, powder coat the turbine housing, and open up the turbo to check it out but he decided he'd rather spend the money on a new car.
Thanks for the bump.

Thanks for the kind words.
Once my friend gets some time to clean the car off when it's nice out he will probably take a few more pictures and such (with the 5zigen's on again).

Thanks, I hope so too.
Also, I want to address something real quick. This is more for the people who are responding to the craigslist ad but I'll say it here too so that things are clear: Do not contact my friend and ask if he wants to race so you can see how fast it is.
He absolutely DOES NOT race the car. Ever. Seriously. (Much to the chagrin of many)
That was never what he wanted to use the car for. There are other ways to enjoy a fast car besides street racing.
I should also clarify while I'm on the subject that there will be no rides or driving the car by anyone that has not proven they are serious buyers (very short rides may be given at owners discretion).
Anyway, everyone have a good weekend and let's find a great new home for this thing!
