b16 without A/C
I have a buddy who bought a CRX with a B16 swap in it and wants me to do the A/C compressor on it and redo the lines so that he can have A/C. Where exactly should the compressor be mounted at, what needs to be cut, and parts are needed? Please and thank you for taking the time to look at this.
Hasport sells a AC bracket that allows you to use the stock EF AC system with the Bseries engine.. http://hasport.com/store/index.php/efac.html
With that, nothing needs to be cut, welded, moved, hacked, rewired, or destroyed.. I would say it is worth every penny of that $200, because it will be clean and stock looking.
of course, you can still do it the hard way.. in which case, I would recommend locating the parts as close to the stock d series location as possible, and will probably require bracket fabrication.
easy way or the hard way?
