1996 honda accord lx aircondtioning problems
My honda dealership has checked my lines for leaks, and they now say it's something in or behind the glove box?!. I've been having problems with this dealership not doing the work they say they did. such as my brakes, so i need to know they what is it? behind the glovebox they say they have to take out the dashboard to get to this part???? they have put freon in it and it only last one day and it's gone. and it smells in the car. I need my air condtioning working cause i'm sick, disabled and they told me at the dealership that would cost me about $1000.00 to have that part replaced. my car has just turen hundred thousand miles on it this year in march. it's in good shape, all work has been keep on it over the years. pls help
Evaporator core is located there. Not sure where you live but you might look around for a shop that specializes in Honda/Acura and see if they will inspect and give you a quote.
At a 100K miles, have you had the timing belts and water pump replaced recently? If they have not been replaced, you might get a quote on that as well.
Good luck.
