need coilovers for a delsol
What kind of money are you looking to spend?
How low do you want to go?
Goals for the car?
Current shocks?
There are a lot of questions that need to be answered before we can help you.
Do you need coil sleeve? or a full bodied coilover?
Cheapest coilover I would recommend to anyone, and do, is the Progress CS-II for $560 shipped direct from progress.
That's really you're only option for a reliable product, solid customer service, 1 year warranty, and cheap replacement parts. You can also pick your spring rates and buy spring to change those rates later on depending on your skill development or mood swings.
Next up for about $800 is koni/GC. The most tried and trusted combo for daily drivers, hard parkers, track users, etc. It's just plain the best thing for your money at any price point. Not other setup offers performance and value per dollar like koni/ground control. Lifetime warranty on both the shock and coilover.
The absolute cheapest route I suppose you could go is koni srt and some lowering spring or coilover from a reputable company like neuspeed or skunk2. These can actually handle these rates and you're looking at ~$400-600 depending on whether you get a used set of springs or a new set of expensive coilover sleeves for them.

I wanna spend as little as I can. Moneys tight but I wanna slam it. It's stock suspension on the car now. I wanna be as low as I can get for as cheap as I can get. I was thinking possibly used full body coils but I can't find any.
If you just want to slam and it can don't care just throw some ebay sleeves on it and call it a day.
You can slam it really cheaply on ebay coils and spend $50 and blow your shocks in 3 months. Or you can do it properly and get a shock that will handle it.
If you haven't driven a slammed car before, you won't be driving one for long. Especially with rates that you'll need.
I think OTS function/form will be too soft. You'll need 450+ Front rates and 300+ rear rates if you plan on being so dumped.
Look forward to replacing suspension bushings, bent arm pieces, and having to drive around a lot to find different entrances to places you're going to.

wtf WHY do people always want to do this kind of crap and spend no money?!?!?! Suspension is one of THE MOST important things on your car that you should spend money on. Don't be a cheap bastard! Save some money, get quality parts that won't take a dump on you overnight, and avoid future headaches of a **** poor ride and having to redo work over and over again. Here's another
for ya, just in case.

Those sleeves look like they're plastic. I wouldn't trust my life with them...literally...
DO NOT BUY THOSE. You'll spend more money replacing and fixing parts if you buy those... Is there something wrong with your car that you are in such a rush to risk spending so little money on crappy suspension parts? I'm going to guess no...
Be patient and save your pennies. The wait will be well worth it when you buy a good quality suspension setup.

Oh well, I have fun laughing at these guys when there car can't go over a tiny bump without the *** end hoping up and down.
the people expect you to spend 1000 bucks on suspension, your going for the slammed look on a budget, they obviously dont undertsand this haha, the worst the happens is you blow a strut, easy fix, 8 bucks at a junkyard

What the **** is there to understand????
I understand you want to be slammed but there are WAAAAYYYY better options out there when compared to ebay coils.
I'd rather have BWR coilovers and they are a pile of ****!
I am interested in how many of those $8 shocks you have gone threw??

You've had your suspension on for 2 months, that's nothing. Time will tell...
There's A LOT worse that can happen then just blown shocks when using a cheap suspension such as the one you are using and recommending... take a look for yourself.

This is exactly why you do NOT cheap out on suspension. Yeah, great, you spent less than $100. Guess what? you'll more than likely end up spending $500+ replacing shocks, eventually replacing the crappy a$$ coilovers you bought AND don't remember you need an alignment after every time you mess with your suspension($60+ each time..). Not to mention the most important part: your safety and everyone who sits in your car AND everyone your driving your POS around on the streets. If you suspension breaks in half doing 70mph on the highway, it might not be so pretty. Unlikely, but with untested and unknown quality on suspension parts, it's a MUCH higher risk.
So, why not spend that money ONCE, buy a good suspension and be DONE with it? You can have some peace of mind AND have a comfortable ride that'll last you YEARS. Doesn't that seem to be the logical thing to do? But hey, it's your time and money, waste it as you please...
^ I have seen that before.
Just think if the sleeve were to crack all the way, and you loose the large peice of it. The car would drop instenitly, and possibly casuse you to loose control of the car in turn creating a chance to hurt your self or some one else.
Sad thing is, I bet the OBX coilovers cost more then $50.

im not looking for "cheap" coils i just want the price to be kinda cheap. i was thinking maybe getting used coilovers off craigslist. but i was just asking if anyone knew of a website like raceland or something that had decent coils for cheap. but race land doesnt make em for my car. but im thinking my only option is to save up for a while and get something worth the wait, thanks guys

The cheapest they get is progress CS-II if you want a decent product.
Would you buy a $5 harness to hold you on in a zip line across a canyon?
No, you'd buy a $100 harness. Don't cheap out on suspension.

My Koni shocks have over 9 years and almost 200K miles on them. Most other shocks would have worn out 2 or 3 times over in that amount of time. So IMHO $500 shocks that last that long (if you're in it for the long haul as I am with my car) are well worth every penny vs. spending twice that or more replacing other shocks over and over.
dont buy some $50 crap off ebay... your going to keep spending and spending everytime it breaks, or worse total your car from a failure.
i totally agree with the cheap suspension off of ebay that it will break and is garbage. im not doing that. im going to save money and buy a decent set of coils and be done with it. thanks guys
