Car doesnt feel like it is pulling as hard?
Okay first off I have a 98ek hatch, with a B18C1 with your basic bolt ons. In the past week it doesnt feel like it has been pulling as hard. I need to determine what to look for, I assume it might be a fuel or ignition problem. Is there anything I need to check out. Thanks
I would check the spark plugs for proper gap and see if the plugs are brown or not. Next thing I would do is OHM check the plug wires for the proper resistance. YOu should read less than 25,000 ohms.. Hope that helps..
vacuum lines are another thing to look at (i'm thinking of secondaries/iab/butterflies whatever you want to call them). Is it not pulling as hart throughout the power band.....or just at the top??

If you are running lean (for what wever reason) your car will loose power. Some things to check would be fuel pump output pressure, injectors could be dirty, fuel filter could be cologging up. Also map sensors will effect fuel delivery.
I had that probelm a little while ago and it turned out to be the fuel filter. The thing with these kinds of problems is that sometimes you end up changing a bunch of parts that don't need to be changed in order to fix the problem
If you want to know if the engine is starved for fuel look at the end of the spark plugs. If they are a white color or very light tan, the engine is lean. If it is a natural tan then it is fine. Dark sooty black plugs are signs of too much fuel.
I had that problem, too.
In fact, that's a problem everyone that adds a turbo, motor, NOS, tires, suspesnion, etc. experiences after a week or two. They then go on to throw down another five grand on engine work to turn up the boost or whatnot....
You sure you didn't just get used to it?

is it the engine,or jus the car?reason being,if the car revs fine, and idles ok etc., could jus be a laggy break(s).i had that problem once
Well I know I am not used to the mods, because I raced one of my firends cars and it pulled on me alot harder than before. I know for a fact he has the exact same setup he has had in previous races, and we did it numerous times so I doubt it was a lucky run.
