89 civic hatch dx wont crank..
i have been pop startin the last few days because my car wont crank it tries butis super weak then just stops altogether wen i turn the key..new battery nd 2 month old starter....any help on wat it could be....oh nd randomly starts just fine on occasions..
Have your local parts store test the battery. I've had a battery once before that had perfect voltage but not enough amperage to start up the engine.
starter (could be bad even if newish) and you should get the battery tested as stated. also check grounds on the trans. so id take the starter and the battery into autozone and say hey id like these parts tested!
also i took the battery in they said it was fine.....a friend with a 90 civic said somethin about replaceing they starter relay located right above my hood latch on the driverside??????
No, all the starter does is spin the engine. When you pop start a car, the wheels spin the engine when you "pop" it.
If you are good with electrical stuff, you can run 12 volts directly to it to see if the relay is working. I don't know if there is a relay or not but just saying it's easy to test.
