Default Code 8 help still wont go away.

ok i been running a pm6 that was chipped like back in the days before zif sockets. this ecu came from a high comp dohc zc so naturally it would be richer than a stock ecu. also this ecu never gave me a cel but i did notice that its running rich and when it idles it like to fluctuate i bit never steady at idle.

a good friend of mine sent me his pg7 to test to see if it would help my car while he chips my pm6. anyway i put the pg7 on and it give me a cel code 8. TDC sensor so i swap out my dizzy with a known working one. i check my timing its spot on at 18btdc i tighten up the dizzy reset ecu and same **** still get code 8. when i plug in my pm6 i dont get no cel and since the dizzy change the car feels a lot better so i don't know what else to do.

this is a sohc zc by the way

PM6 is the one to believe.. I think you are chasing an artifact of the PG7.. I can't really explain it, but if the car runs normally and you didn't have your friend disable the CEL on the PM6, then you should be fine.
