d16y8 distributer wont line up help

Icon2 d16y8 distributer wont line up help

i have my d16y8 and ordered a z6 distributer for it cuz of my harness the distributer plugs in fint but the holes wont line up right to the bracket at all either way i try i can only get one hole lined up and i thought that the z6 dizzy would fit fine on the y8 someone let me know if im doing something wrong or what please help

z6 housing is different than almost every other d series head other than the d15z1 in the VX civic and the D15B OBD1 Sohc VTEC

That wont work either cuz the bracket is only one bolt so i would still only have one bolt that lines up i swear its been nothing but problems on this swap i feel like givin up man it would have been so much easier just switchin it to odb2 then tryin to keep it odb1 if anyone can think of something i can do to bolt this dizzy on plz let me know im beyond pissed right now

im pretty sure that you can get 2 bolts in there ive heard of people using on one lol but wouldent reccomend it. my cars obd1 and i have z6 blok with y8 head im trying to remember how i did it with mine couse i didnt mess with wireing at all.

if you have the distributor that came with it you can swap out the wiring internals that attach to the plugs from the Z6 distributor over to the one that does bolt up so it'll be plug and play.

ive used one bolt to hold my dizzy for yrs no problem... they make conversion harness's for obd1-obd2 dizzy's at rywire. as he said u could switch all the sensors and plugs over to a housing that fits.

yea i dont have the old dizzy so thats not gonna work im gonna see how one bolt will hold up i know its not really recommended but what can i do im not gonna let this stop and hold up my build

D15B7/D15B8 distributor bolts up and plugs in perfectly, no hack job or modifications required.

exactly do that. lol i sat here for like 10 minutes trying to figure out how i did it and thats how.good call!!

and i really thank u guys for trying to help me and thinking of what i had to do cuz alot of the time u get a** holes who just say smart comments u kno

yeah becouse b7/b8 is obd1 and so yourz6 harness if you need help pm me ive done it before
