I'm getting random misfires across the board everything has been replaced but the fuel filter I see some people say you can just replace the filter and some people say you need to buy the whole pump assembly does anyone know for sure ?

 

I can tell you this much. Technically the filter is built into the pump and if you talk to the dealership they will tell you it's not replaceable unless you change out the whole pump assembly. I however did search hard a long time ago and found the manufacturer of the stock strainer sock for our cars and a part number to replace it but never bought it or changed it. I just cleaned my old one and reused it like everyone else who changes over to the walbro pump.

If anything pull out your pump assembly and disassemble the pump and clean the sock

 

is it a relatively easy task or am I looking at some major disassembly ?
