Default paint strippng whells and valve cover

just wondering if anyone can give me a thumbs up or not on using some king of paint stripper on the valve cover while its still on the motor. good idea or bad idea? the wheels should be easy obviously. any suggestions on what kind of product i should use? any info is much appreciated! god speed

P.S. i no longer have the 91 d series. i totalled it
I now own an ej, just didn't want any confusion on the signature

I heard oven cleaner does the job. Can't verify that though.

bad idea. Take it off and do it outside the car. Its paint stripper and will strip your car paint and degrade hoses and lines. I just always go to the parts store and get an aerosol aircraft stripper. (I don't recommend doing this in your house or using your home oven to do what the guy did in the first DIY)

Dont be lazy! Take it off and do it right! you will ruin all kinds of crap trying to do it on the car!

Id prefer to sand blast it, especially if youre going to get it powder coated. Just remember to clean it really well after...
