so.. when you are lowering your vehicle how do you measure how far it's actually going to drop?

ruler. I have full body coilovers. I measure from the bottom of the lock ring of the spring to the top of the lock ring for the part that my shock threads into.

That will work for some but not all coilovers, like my Tein Basics.


With the car at stock height, on level ground, measure from the
axle/spindle center to the top of the wheel arch.

Then drop the car down, re-measure from the axle/spindle center
to the arch.

The difference is how far the car has been lowered.
