Icon2 engine buy

Does anyone know a good place to buy a jdm d16y8. I want to stay away for ebay stores if I can help it. I found this Place called www.jspecauto.com and they seem like the kind of place that I would buy from. The kind of place that has been around and gives you what you think your buying. A great engine with 30-60k on them.

Any places that are good let me know. But I do want to stay stock for my 99 civic ex 4 door.

D16Y8 was only released in US, UK and Canada.

A friend of mine purchased a SR20 from that site and he was happy with it.

The site I linked to is hands down THE most endorsed place for getting replacement engines o Honda-Tech bar none. You would need to get the equivalent engine but it looks like they are sold out currently. I'd still give them a call.

If I have done m homework on this engine then I think that the JDM version is going to be the d15b. The thing is some of them come in vtec and some dont. Depending on the site I go to. the specs on the d15b say that it is vtec but I see 2 vtec silanoids on the d15b but the d16y8 on my car only has one. will that effect it at all. I was also thinking about the rest of the parts. would the alt, ac, starter, etc. from the d16y8 fit onto the d15b.

Am i right about this?

dirvin7588 let me know how that goes for you. cause if it does drop right in i will be doing the same thing. i just dont want to buy thin engine then find out all the other things dont fit.

omGrimmy I saved that site cause they are one of the ones that do have the d15b so its just finding out if it is a direct swap now.

I will be using the y8 intake manifold should be direct fit, if I'm correct. Including the TB IACV, injectors, ect.
