Default reverse light switch

98 auto-to-manual conversion

grn/blk and yel/red wires wired to the switch don't do anything. jump them together and my reverse lights come on. i guess my reverse light switch is bad? also, i read somewhere that instead of putting wires through the firewall, you can connect them to your ECU. does anyone have the details for that?

Yup thats the test for a bad switch so it's off to the parts store for you.

i had a 2nd one, i could have soldered it anyway. i don't even know why i asked this question. the wiring was easy.

my honda manual said tap into pins A17 and A19 i believe for the reverse wires, but they werent grn and yellow, they were some other colors, light blue and yellow i think, tapped into them and it worked
