HELP!!! High Pitch sound
well i just got done replacing my headgasket. Then when i start it up it make this high pitch sound anybody know where its come from??

just cause hes "a mechanic" dont mean he didnt over tighten the timing belt. Its eaither the timing belt to tight or the tentioner for some reason, or one of the belts like the ps or ac or alt.
On mine, the aftermarket cam gears had bolts sticking through far enough that - as they stuck through the gear and towards the engine/cams, would touch the rear plastic timing belt covers.
Could be something like that rubbing... ?
Though, I agree that whistles are often air leaks.

I listen to the video and it sounds like the engine RPM is dropping (as it is shut off) but the whistle continues at the same pitch for a short bit longer - sort of reinforcing the idea that it's a vacuum related thing...
