Default Tow a Boat with an Odyssey?

Can I tow a 17 ft basstracker boat and trailer on my 2001 Honda Odyssey? It is a basspro 17 Basstracker with a 40hp Johnson motor. I am not sure the weight but need to know if I can tow it on the minivan? Thanks!

99-04 Odysseys have transmission problems. The main problem is that the cooler inside the radiator for the transmission gets clogged up and you burn up the trans eventually. Before towing anything, install a heavy duty auxiliary cooler for the transmission and completely bypass the original cooler. With the auxiliary cooler your trans will run 20* cooler then with your stock cooler, therefore prolonging the life of the trans. If this is going to be your daily habit (or pretty often) I would also recommend tranny flush and refill. Do not use any additives, and use only Honda trans fluid, (Honda transmissions are very temper mental and require OEM parts and fluids, besides engine oil)
I tow a 6000lbs trailer with my 01 Odyssey almost daily and my transmission made it to 170000 miles before it finally gave out, all thanks to the 2 huge coolers I have mounted up front. This is from experience, I own 2 Odysseys, both 01, both are well past 200000 mile mark and still running strong.
