Hi everyone,
I picked up some seriously slick deals on the prothane bushings on amazon.. Paid about $1 for the front 25mm and about $2 for the rear 15mm..
My question is, why does the prothane bushing appear so different to the energy suspension design?
It would seem to me that the ES comes with the bushings already part of the bracket as pictured here.

Does this make the install significantly easier than the prothane which is just the bushing itself

I'm not concerned with quality or hardness of the poly compound because as far as I am concerned they are of equal performance.. I am more concerned with, is the ES bushing worth more than twice as much as the prothane bushings simply because of the collar/bracket? Will reinstalling these new bushings in the OEM bracket be fine?
Thanks

The bushing is the same, just one picture has the bracket and the other picture does not. Just wait until you get them to see if they have the brackets or not....usually they do.
OEM brackets may or may not work, you will just have to try it out once you get the bushings.

Well I have the prothane bushings now, they reached from amazon.. They definitely did not come with the brackets but I also do not see the bracket selling separately on the prothane.. Presumably they want me to re-use the OEM bracket?
ES parts tend to be more universal in usage, Prothane more model specific. I prefer Prothane as the bushings fit the existing hardware/bracketry, where as ES will supply the brackets/nuts/bolts and the parts can become cumbersome, or not quite clear all applicable sub models.

Well thats reassuring mike.. So far my ES purchases have been pleasing but I was unable to get the upper control arm bushiungs they sent in my kit to fit my set up..
So, i'm going to stick with prothane for these sway bar bushings and see how it goes.. Now its just to hope the 25mm and 15mm respectively fit on my accord..
