So im dropping my DD DB8, need some help!
i have about around 850ish, cant really go much farther. and i have some in mind. At first i liked the Function and Form type II cause of some friends suggestions... Then my brother said D2 because he loves his. and then i had some other people throw in stuff like gc/koni and skunk2.. maybe K sport. its just a daily to work and school. itll be lowww but not maxed out. thanks for the help!
your in the same price range I was, I ended up going with the skunk2 pro s II's Im happy with the ride and the quality of them... although most people will tell you to go with koni/gc combo. it might be a tad more than 850
Easy choice,
At $850 I'd say koni/GC all day long.....lifetime warranty on shocks, can't go wrong. It'll get you as low as you need to go and you can purchase street rate springs w/the setup. You'll be a happy camper this way.
Just to throw this out there...if its just a daily (work and school only) you could easily get away with spending $450 on a real nice strut/spring combination that will leave you just as happy.
I put the Eibach strut/spring suspension on my DB and its amazing for a DD. Looks great, handles far better then stock...and I had leftover money for a 22mm rear sway!

Of all the options you listed koni/Ground control is the only thing I would ever put on my car.
If you want something cheaper, progress CS-II is the way to go.
If you just have to have something anodized and blingy and don't mind having an inferior product, get function & form.
K sport and D2 are the same thing. Here's a collection of k sport/D2 coilovers:

^ Nope! You can do way way way better for not much more, if not less or the same.
Koni/gc all the way! If you wanna be slammed get the extended top hats for the front as well.
it blows my mind that people would rather buy D2/F&F, K Sport over koni/gc. Life time warranty vs 1 year warranty if that. Great customer service vs terrible customer service.
Proven setup day after day VS, something that is will snap and likely cuase thousands in damage. HMMM, Koni/gc sounds good to me.

Alright so I've done the research and I'm almost positive I'm going with the gc/koni combo. Does anyone know where the cheapest place is? And spring rate suggestions?

heh I personally would do 400/250 if it's mostly daily driven, even with some autox, and let an ITR rear sway bar add some roll stiffness in the rear. That way you're not affecting ride quality as much but still gaining roll stiffness.
Yeah having 350/350 has me tempted to upgrade to 450/300 or something. But I honestly don't mind my 350 rear rate. 350 up front is definitely way too soft. I know that much.
