Default need some ecu help

i drive a 90 accord ex manual four door with an f22a4 in it. the ecu i just removed from the car is a P0A-A01. i looked up the ecu and it says its for a 94-95 accord mt vtec. i believe my car does not have vtec though. do i still purchase the same ecu or should i get one actually meant for an older accord?

reason im replacing the ecu is because the old one was telling the egr solenoid to have vacuum at all rpms including idle. i removed the ecu and opened it up. big burnt spot. want to replace it with the correct ecu. been doing research and im thinking a PT3-A22 will work better with my car but i have never messed with ecus before so im not really sure

That would be the right ECU for you to get for the car. I have the same car (coupe) and thats the ECU i have. I'm pretty sure you'll see a gas mileage improvement as well with the right ECU because although they are both 2.2 and have the same mapping (basically) the VTEC ECU is probably dumping more fuel because its demanding more air because the ECU is tuned for VTEC
