pro 2's?
quick question. im getting ready to tune a sleeved b16 with pro 2's. looking for a good starting point on were to set the cam gears? it will be turbo. any help will be appreciated. thanks
I believe those cams are meant for all motor use ... they just might be too big for a boost setup ... u should call skunk2 and find out what to degree them to if u r gonna use those big cams ...
well i set them at zero because i didnt have time to degree the cams. had to dyno till 2am sat morning to make a race this weekend. but on a old school precision 4067. way to small for the power we want to make. we made 640 at 27psi. with the tq and hp still climbing at 9500rpm! and this is on a b16 on 111oct. and on crome by the way. didnt have time to tune the aem. so the tuner just took the map off his car and put on ours and added alot of fuel.

yeah its going back to the dyno later this week to get tuned on the aem. so im excited to see what we can get out of this thing. would like to get it done for the race this weekend that majestic is putting on in jacksonville. i ran a 6.83 at 108.7 off the trailer sunday at a 1/8th mile track. but couldnt make any adjustments to the launch control so couldnt dial the car in at all.
why?
and the pro 2's have been in my tool box for a year collecting dust. y pay for new cams when i have a set that are free. plus so far, i love them. they are making stupid power for what turbo we got and what timming and low a/f we had it at. we are at like 19 or 20 deg of timming i think?
Well if you had the cams laying around then it's a no brainer of course use them. I was just saying the pro2 is huge, you really don't need more then a pro1. Great power though with that turbo so far
i will say one thing tho, crome and pro 2's do not work well idling! other than that i cant belive how well crome is working! but thankfully it will be aem this weekend!

i ve run both the pro1s and the pro2s, i like the pro2s power curve better. we ve made big power with the pro2s at 50psi. if you can degree them if not and i know its a pain, but try and dial them in on the dyno.
yeah it will never see 50! this turbo will hit 30psi at 8500 and fall to 27 at 9500. butits all i got at the moment and no buget for a new one any time soon.
hey BEFAB if you read this post the dyno chart.
