Icon2 BKR7E ok for turbo H22A with MSD Ignition ?

I just want to confirm if the NGK BRK7E is a perfect choice for my turbo H22A with MSD Ignition Box, Blaster SS Coil, MSD Wires, 1000cc Injectors, 9:1 CR (We are aiming for 400Whp).

Also, what gap you guys think would be good? Thinking about starting at 0.35 ...

the brk7 should work I would go with the 8s instead based on power your shooting for and start with .28-.30 gap and go from there

They dont make those spark plugs anymore, I think it was replaced with the 4622 ( I could be wrong on the number ) and start ur gap at .20 that should be pretty close to what you want

Ummm I dont think the gap has to be at .20 with an MSD ignition box and someone emailed NGK on another site and they said they still make them just a different part no...

My mistake, I shoulda said the 4644 is the new BKR7E. As far as the gap, no one can give you an exact number, your tuner should be able to do all that for you while its on the dyno. I was at .30 and it was cutting out, now its at .20 and it runs perfect. Either way, good luck with your build

lol yeah I thought it was kinda odd about the gap setting because the last time I had it tuned, he used the stock gap which I had it set on and when I asked about resetting the gap he said it was fine because the MSD was providing a strong spark... well it never had a problem with it cutting out, etc. wierd though he used the stock gap... also I was using Iridium IX plugs.

Ok so I go to the parts store to order these and the when I tell the guy I am using it in a turbocharged motor basically out of a "1993 Honda Prelude DOHC VTEC 2.2L" (so they can better understand instead of tryin to explain to them what a H22A is) - he looks it up and tells me that this plug will not work with this motor according to his fitment guide.

I swear I read on here of guys with turbo H22A's running these - can someone 100% confirm with me these would work for a turbo H22A? Thx.

Yes they'll work. The part store guy is just being useless.

NGK part number 4644 is the BKR7E spark plugs. If the part stores don't just give you what you want, grab a few sets off ebay/marketplace/online to have for the future.
(Most of my local stores suck and don't keem them in stock -- your mileage may vary).

Ok great - yeah I'm just gonna order them online cos after spending over 20 mins on google and here I found quite a few H22A people using these. Thanks for verifying!

7s are FINE at that power... I wouldnt even think about worring about 8s till 550-600. I run 8s all the time at 520 pump tune (and racce gas mix around 650)....., and stuff 9s in it for the racegas 750 tune.

Im running a 7AL2 with SS coil. I gap my **** at .022.

Gap at about.025 with that setup
