Sorry to bump a old *** thread. BUT I was trying to find this out myself and this is the only thread I could find. So other then the rear lip what is the difference? Also the bumper filler above the bumper below the tail lights is there a difference in this pc as well?

You mean the "pinstripe" line? From what I can see it looks like the JDM one maybe longer then the 88-89....

I know the JDM EF9 is shorter than USDM 90-91 because the JDM didn't have the actual bumper inside, just the bumper cover. And I think it's the same with the 88-89 USDM except they have the pin stripe line just like the JDM but thicker.

the difference fron usdm 88 89 and jdm ef9 it the jdm bumper flares out a little towars the wheel well and its about an inch shorter from molding to bottom...also there is an extra line to seperate the molding and uper part of the bumper as with the 91 us bumper....and stillll has the pinstripe groove

The EF9 Rear Bumper has no real bumper support its just a thin bracket that mounts it to the car. Great for saving weight! It also has the groove for the pinstripe of course. Also it has the rear lip. The biggest difference is the shape. Its very hard to tell unless you have to two next to each other. The EF9 rear bumper sticks out more which requires you to use the EF9 rear Filler also. You can use the USDM filler but there is a slight gap.

The USDM 88-91 bumper is a good substitute if you cant find a EF9 bumper.

its not just the pinstripe for the molding its the one above it that the 88 89 usdm one doesnt have...and it sticks about about a 1/4 inch so u need jdm filler...and it flares out a bit by the wheel
