Icon2 QUICK CRX HF QUESTION...

I just bought a '91 Honda CRX HF and I was trying to find specs on it as far as the head goes...

...Is it still a 16 valve head even though its a 1.5 liter?

...Are the injectors the same size as a SI's 1.6 liter?

...Can I use a PM6 ecu to get better performance and increase rev limit?

Just a couple quick questions. Im sure Ill think of some more after I post this but oh well. Thanks for any and all help in advance!

....And as for the stock HF transmission, I understand that it is the fuel economy model, can I swap it out with a SI or DX and get better performance? The gears in the HF are ridiculously long and start to redline at 5,000 rpm!!! lol

The hf is 8 valves, not 16.

if you are running a "dpfi" dual point injection motor, and not an "mpfi" multi port injection model, then you will need to use your existing PM5 ecu. now, on the other hand, if there was a specific dpfi engine that used a special ecu with tighter settings then possibly.

as for the transmissions, id suggest the dx trans. its peppy and still good on gas milage. hell, i even hung with 2 350 z's till about the middle of 3rd gear on a dx model trans.

ok i picked up a pm6 ecu and a6 intake manifold, Im thinkin bout swapping out the stock hf ones with the si ones this weekend. Am I going to run into any problems with it runnning right since my hf head is only an 8 valve versus the a6's 16 valve head?
