Howdy, Not only I'm I new here, but also new to Honda's. So PLEASE don't think I'm NUTS. I do have an extensive mechanical background. Ok I picked up a real Frankenstein, it's a 93 civic 1.5 L(DX I think) automatic, but someone took a 93 Accord F22A1 with a 5 speed drivetrain and stuck it into the Civic. I must say they did a GREAT JOB! But then some kid got a hold of it and messed with it, big time! Not sure how many people had their hands and put their 2 cents into it, the good thing is it runs! That bad thing is it sounds like cam timing is off. It runs better with the MAP vac line disconnected. It back fires on both exhaust and intake sides @ higher RPMs, and it almost feels like it's not getting ign advance. Is there an easy way to check cam timing? Lets just say there aint much room in there, specially engine to fender wall. ANY advice or pics will help.
