Default Old Viper 5900 vs Viper 5901

I have a old Viper 5900 installed in the car that is no longer working and looking to get it replaced with the Viper 5901

Does anyone know if the 2 system i.e. wiring are the same???

Or are they two totally different wiring setup?

Typically DEI keeps the same wiring. Now that's not true if you go from a Valet 561 to a Viper 5901.

The best thing to do it try to find a guide for both and just compare the pin outs on the plugs.
