when i got the motor (b20z2) it was full of sludge. the head was a nightmare. i pulled the head and used my clean head from my old b20b. at the time i also changed both front and rear seals, oil pump and the oil pan. when i had everything apart i scrubbed the crankcase clean and removed the sludge off the rods, ect.. reassembled the motor and used full synthetic oil. it needs an oil change.every time i do an oil change since then my oil still shows signs of sludge. im afraid i have large pieces and my pcv keeps clogging. would using less seafoam (1/6) can be safe. i've never used seafoam in this motor btw. dont want to clog anything else. thanks for reading. can i flush with cheap regular motor oil instead of synthetic.

yea but can i flush my motor with some cheap non synthetic oil and cheap filter and then refill with synthetic. i was thinking of
A.running seafoam at idle for 10 mins. drain and remove filter.
B.install cheap filter. refill with cheap non synthetic and more seafoam. let idle 10 mins.
C.drain oil. remove filter and drop oil pan to clean it out.
D. replace oil pan. install filter. refill oil with synthetic. done
sound like a good idea?

that would work fine but i dont put alot of faith in seafoam, ive never seen it actually do anything as it says it does, valve medic ive used plenty of times and seen how well it works, also using a good synthetic oil will help clean the engine up alot, royal purple probably has some of the best cleaning properties of any oil. Mobil1 probably has some of the worst ive ever seen.
Marvel Myster Oil. It cleans out the motor real nice. I did an mmo soak on my wifes eg and when I was done there was zero carbon build up on the tops. (She had stuck rings by the way). I ran it in the motor for about 200 miles then changed the oil. Sea foam killed my crx years ago. I had a slight oil burning issue and put in sea foam, it ran for about 300 miles and then produced so much smoke I couldn't even drive it anymore. MMO is my suggestion. Good luck!!
