has anyone had experiences with fake tial wastegates?
i just bought one and found out its fake so i would like to know peoples experiences with them..i've search and found some good info about them.also found out bad info about it.so i would just like some more input thanks
so let me get this straight...you bought a tial wastegate thinking it was authentic? but only to later find out it was a replica? why dont you just ask for your money back and get a refund? also i have had personal exp with these fake wastegates wayy back when i built my first kit ever in like 2004 i believe it was like rocky mountain? i dunno its looked like tial but didnt work like tial... it basically spiked from 8psi where it should of been all the way up to 15 at times...honestly, im no guru but from personal trials and errors. stick with tial its tried and true...why risk such an important piece?
yeah i might go return it if the shop will let me but its to far of a drive to me anyways so i plan on selling it for what i bought it for and i did state on my posting thats its not a real tial

throw it in the dumpster where it belongs
We tested one of the MV-S knockoffs, here are the results in 8x
the unit lasted a bit over 42 min
other notes: we had to run the unit with no valve seat because it would not clamp down with it installed, and we had to use pliers to get the clamp to close to a point where we could get the nut and bolt on, the diaphragm was also leaking right out of the box...so essentially the unit was not in working condition at all.
