i went into fastenal today and they had the 2" od piping i have been looking for. the wall thickness was .109 is that too think for a traction bar setup.

i was quoted almost $30 for 40" 7/64" (.109 )

and $50 for 40" of the same tubing in 3/16" (.188)thickness

 

do you have a metal supplier around you? that price is a little high and its probably not even DOM. .109 wall is fine though

 

depends on material. one of the key qualities is stiffness.

 

i belive it was dom, i will double check.

 

how much should i look to pay for 40" of 2"od/.109 thickness dom steel pipe?

 

I get it for about 20 bucks. But Fastenal charges more because its cut and stocked in the store.
