Icon3 Idle problem!

I just got home and on my way home at 2 stop lights my car just died and i had to pump the gas to start it back up. it kinda sounded like it didnt wanna start up. It probably woulda died out more but i didnt take my foot off the gas really. I have a b18b open header if any of that has to do with why this happened..

please dont call me a rookie or a novice or anything haha Im still learning.

Why are you running an open header? That is not only obnoxious sounding, it really isn't providing major performance gains. However, it is bad for the environment, fuel mileage, and in maintaining good relationships with your neighbors. Did you recently remove the exhaust system?

10psi, an open header entails removing the exhaust system, typically from the catalytic converter back.

Your insulant attitude is rather uncalled for and has been reported to the moderator. To state one is running an open header is exactly as I previously defined, while to run your vehicle as you defined would be no header and not an open header.

Vaccum leak? I was having the same problem and just adjusted my idle then eventually my brake booster went out, I replaced it and put idle back to normal and problem solved.

OK, define open header.

stock header with no exhaust or cat bolted on?
aftermarket header with nothing but the header ZERO piping!?
or no header at all which would get dirt inside and break pretty quickly.

ive got a d15 with a 4-2-1 stainless header, to 2.5 inch piping to a fart can in the back. its loud as hell & still backfires if i completely let off the gas after punching it. & there are ZERO exhaust leaks.i have a feeling my car would stall out if i wanted it to if i just removed all the piping & ran an open header.

my advice is put at least 2 feet of piping after the header & run it out of the side of the car. that would be the least i would recommend. legally however you better install a cat & muffler. but if you just want to look legal get 2.5 inch pipe to a nice muffler. itll sound beefy as idle-2800 rpms. & significantly louder above 3k

to answer everyones q's.

-I did recently just remove my exhaust because it got effed so I took it off. its been about a week, week 1/2.
-I am putting a straight pipe from hearder to rear axle to hold off until I get a better exhaust.
-open header, I do have an aftermarket header 4-1 that is on my car but nothing else.
-I do annoy my neighbors but id*** cause they do the same sh*t with there brand new chargers buut yet I get b*tched at for it. ha.
i think that covers it.

also I just changed my alternator belt casue that was effed and my car is still making this anoying squeeling sound and i have no idea what it could be any ideas? my alternator belt isnt to tight so thats not it and its not to loose so thats not it either.
