So looking at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_B_engine and it clearly states the following, which i think is incorrect...

B16A2
1992-1997 Honda CR-X del Sol EDM VTi (EG)
1996-1997 Honda CR-X del Sol USDM "VTEC"

B16A3
1994-1995 Del Sol VTEC

So logically thinking and looking at this wouldn't the 95-97 USDM Delsol be the B16A3 and the B16A2 the 94-95????

If so they need to fix that.

For some reason the B16A3 came first, it was an OBD1 engine ONLY. That is for USDM, I see VTi listed there, not sure how it goes in other countries.

B16A2 is OBD2 ONLY, again for the USDM, not sure about other markets.

Your going to have to ask Honda about this one. While your bugging them ask why the B18C is the code for the regular 1.8L VTEC and the Type R 1.8L.

so the only way to go legit b16 in california is to either go with the Delsol b16a3 so you can stay obd1 or convert to obd2 and do the b16a2 out of the Civic Si or Delsol... Dizzle
