Had about an hour of free time today, so decided to give the car a quick wash nothing great (still needs a good wash/detailing). Then took a few vids since alot of people have been asking for some idle and quick rev videos, and a mini walk around.

Ok now on to the car

The car is a 1997 BMW 540i, car has a clean title and i have pink in hand ready to go. Car passes smog LEGALLY at ANY smog shop, alot of money was invested into making sure the car was 100% smog legal yet performed up to par. All the legal stuff is sorted out no worries about that, you will be getting a car that is ready to drive no funny business.

The car possesses a 4.4L (PRE-VANOS FTW) Super charged V8
and a five-speed A5S 560Z automatic transmission.
both of which where rebuilt at about 30k miles ago.
Car wasnt boosted until about 20k miles ago, VF engineering kit was used.
This consists of the supercharged larger injectors, and the tune. They have been tweaking and messing with this kit for years, believe me when i tell you the tune and everything else is perfect. Feels like a stock car.
Its pretty much a stock engine, VERY reliable never has let me down.
at 7psi they claim it makes 410 hp at crank.
a 9 psi pulley can be purchased as well not sure what power they claim at this boost level, but at 7psi you really dont need much more unless you want a full blown race car.

Now the exterior/looks.... ALOT of money was put into this area...
Everything on the car is real/legit ac schnitzer no knockoffs. sideskirts,mirrors,spoiler,rear bumper, ebrake handle, 19inch rims..... everything is AC Schnitzer. To those who know this is ALOT of money.

As far as suspension mods there is nothing more than the AC Schnitzer springs..... nothing special just some good lowering springs, very comfortable and sporty ride, feels almost stock.

Brakes..... Brembo Big Brake kit, red calipers.

I.C.E..... All custom built fiberglass/wood system in trunk with one sub.
In the front you got alpine ipod compatible stereo (with all the belts and whistles) equalizer for bass on roof.. etc..... a very good QUALITY yet tame system, nothing insane no competition system here... just a VERY good quality daily system that never stops amazing me.

Now i am sure im forgetting a few things... also i dont feel like making a list of every single penny that was dumped into this car.... so there a ballpark of about $40k in parts thrown into this thing.... plus all the labor, time, blood, sweat, and other stressful moments that came along with making this car what it is today.

40 grand in mods and random crap that went into the car... give me 15k for those....
the car kbb is about 9k.... ill drop a few grand off that.....

As far as the miles on the actual chassis its right around 125k.

Really wouldn't mind a nice (daily drivable) honda plus some cash.

this car has been for sale on here for what now? over a year at least right? There is probably a reason why this is posted on a honda forum, and not a BMW one, because the BMW community would laugh at this price.

 

and KBB is 5-6k, not sure where you got the 9k number.

 

You sir are right car has been on sell for a while.
And hmmm not really a laughing manner, car can easily be parted out and turned into quite a bit of money. You see civic hatches with half the time and money dumped into them going for about 10-15k on these forums sir.
I will accept I did make a few mistakes by not taking the offers I had gotten some time ago when the economy was better.... but at the time I really wasn't ready to let her go... my mistake.

Also.... the car is posted on bmw forums (along with other euro car forums), and believe me no one laughs.
Only reason it is posted on a honda forum is because i REALLY want a honda, i have never had one and i feel its time to pop my cherry. I want to see what this whole FWD n/a thing is all about.

You must not be very familiar with the BMW scene, this car is literally one of a handful of e39s in the country with a full and legit set of ac schnitzer parts. AND the only e39 with a legit ac schnitzer exhaust iv'e ever seen/heard of in the states (I am sure there is a few others out there, but i never heard of one and im pretty active in the bmw community/meets/etc.). All of these parts are VERY rare and VERY pricey.

I will give you one clear example.
The AC SCHNITZER type II rims, the cheapest i have found them for recently is $1499.95 A PIECE! (and believe me, they will only get more and more expensive) so please.... those who know BMWs know how much all this stuff is worth. Go crap on some one else thread. ok?
