so im testing my car at 2000rpm and holding it there, after awhile it starts surging, and im still holding the pedal at 2000rpm. what could be the problem, ive cleaned the iacv but problem still happens, help please thanks. . .

Maybe the computer thinks its idle is to hi... Does it surge when driving? I've had similar issues. All it was; the throttle cable was pulled to tight and needed adjusting.

did you ever figure out the problem? mine is surging bad right now...

 

the throttle cable help a lot, also the idle air adjusting screw, but still surging. other then that my timing is 2 degrees off so im gonna attack that problem soon hopefully

 

Guys... It's called Honda Idle! Those old *** hoses get old and cracked. Check all of your vacuum lines, you most likely have a vacuum leak.
