idling up and down between 1k and 3k rpms
i kno this is a common problem and its very easy to fix, if anybody knos what it is please let me kno. and no its not vacuum leaks, or the IACV, i dunno wuts goin on n dont have time to diagnos it myself i have a full shop today. if anybody knos this trade secret let me kno please!!!!!
What have you done to troubleshoot so far? Any check engine lights? Make, model, year, engine, mods, auto, manual? Any recent maintenance? What have you done to know it isn't the vacuum leak or IACV? Have you checked or cleaned the FITV?
its a 93 ej1, with a d15b on a chipped p28, msd ignition, 5speed, no check engine lights, runs like a bad *** besides the idling, ive built this myself n replaced almost everything i can think of, im checkn the cooling system for air pockets, no luck still revvin up n down, i heard bout checkn the pcv system but havnt got to that yet. ive never heard of a FITV??? explain

in regards to the msd ignition, did you drill a hole in your distributor cap? i remember having a similar idling problem after i took off my msd and i replaced my cap and rotor and it fixed the problem.

jesus christ some trade secret... lol it was the fast idling thermo switch..... thanks honda parts hero u reiminded me of the 1 sensor i didnt check... lol nah when i wired in my msd kit i sealed the hole with rtv. but much appreciated for the input ya'll
