Icon2 Obd0-obd1 Conversion No Spark??

Currently have a crx w/ b18a1 swap turbo'ed. Car turns on fine with obd0 pr4 ecu but once I convert it to obd1 it wil not fire up. The ecu is a chipped p75 with a I dont know what program and using an obd1 dizzy td-55u. I bought the harness on ebay and the only CEL i get is code 21 which is for vtec and leaves me to say that the harness works and is doing its job. The Dizzy is wired correctly. If the dizzy is faulty, wont the ecu throw a code for that? Think it could be the chipped ecu causing this? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

no it wont throw a code for the dizzy. only obd2 types do. just try another dizzy and check to make sure there is fuel

So i have no way of getting a hold of another dizzy so what i did was use a light tester that dad has brand new and tested it on the dizzy's black/yellow wire and it lights up. n-e mores ways of testing it? it is leading me to the chip ecu though...

obd0 dizzy's are different from obd1's. why you think you have to use a vtec dizzy for a z6 when converting and not just an a6 one? different sensors and different obd versions.

What are you talking about? My question is basically if no spark can be caused by buying a used chipped ecu that has never been used in my car. Im sure my jumper harness is connected good. I will have to test my ICM from dizzy but I doubt it will be bad.

soooo... did you switch it back over to obd0 and try that? double check your connections, i mean, as stupid as i may sound saying it, it's one of those facepalm fixes. if not, ignore me.

If I switch it back to obd0 it will start. No problem. I went and check dizzy connections and everything is fine. I mean wtf man i cant get no spark for ****. The dizzy was bought used but looks new as hell. im braggin on the ecu since it was chipped for turbo on another application. But mine is turbo as well but different setup.

One question (amazed nobody asked yet)... why the hell are you running a "chipped" ECU when you have no idea what the map on said chip is? You could be running one of those uber badass eBay "Spoon" chips that nets like 70HP!!!!

Find a friend and swap ECU's to see if this fixes your problem.

Its a good ol atmel chip. And All I wanted was the car to fire up after I did the conversion to verify everything went well. Guess no spark is the problem at the moment.
