b20 vtev timing belt
Well lets see. Gates makes oem honda belts. Their blue aftermarket belt is the equivalent of the oem honda belt. Toda claims their timing belts are 3x stronger than oem belts.
I've heard more than one story about toda belts fraying after 30k to 40k miles. I hear very little about people using greddy belts, so they either go problem free, or people just don't use them.
Unless your building some ***** out 1000hp b series turbo motor (if you are this is the wrong section any way) you are not going to break an oem timing belt. I'd pay to see an all motor b-series that can break an oem timing belt. I dont even know where you would find a stronger timing belt than oem.
Toda may claim that their belts are stonger, but lets remember that the toda i'm referring to is the same company that takes 20 year old toyota ae111 itb's, mounts them to a b-series intake plate, slaps their name on them, and sells them for $2300, while obx sells the same damn set of itb's for $600.
