500Whp H22A - Injector Size ?
Just wondering if I would need to upgrade my injectors if we plan to shoot for 400 to 500 Whp? Car was previously tuned on Crome with RC 550cc (not sure what duty cycle) and made 300Whp. I'm using a Walboro 255 and stock FPR as well ...
Now if we stick with 400Whp will the 550cc be okay? I did not talk to my tuner yet but I was thinking 500Whp probably gonna be 750cc or so....

I found this on SuperHonda so I thought I would post it here if someone needed it as a reference ...
"By raising the fuel pressure you can get more fuel from the injectors, and remember since the HP numbers are for 100% duty cycle, you should select the next highest sized injector for you HP goal."
270cc = 187 HP
310cc = 214 HP
320cc = 220 HP
370cc = 256 HP
400cc = 277 HP
440cc = 304 HP
450cc = 311 HP
500cc = 346 HP
550cc = 380 HP
600cc = 415 HP
650cc = 450 HP
800cc = 554 HP
880cc = 609 HP

yea i would go for the 1200cc just incase you want more power in the future. i know if you go 750cc or anything bigger you need a resistor. im in the process of building a h22a accord the owner also wanted 500whp

Guys I'm gonna be honest with ya - the ID's are out of my price range. The good thing is I already have a Resistor box installed because of the RC 550's I had originally with the old setup. I do not plan on making more than 500Whp for a looooong time lol - due to my turbo and tranny limitations. As long has it makes inbetween 400 and 500 I am happy
I was thinking maybe some Precision 880cc or 1000cc? Does that sound about right?

are you gonna run pump gas, race gas, or e85? the reason im going 1200cc is because im going e85 to make 500whp possible. and theyre like 320 shipped on ebay.
Precision 1000cc-1200cc would be ideal if your on a budget.
My personal recommendation would be a set of Injector Dynamics 1000cc injectors.
(Smoother idle & spray pattern).

We have a couple of fuel calculators on our site if you want to play around with some numbers.

To answer your questions, though. Looks like a 1000cc will get you to your goal and a little beyond on pump gas. If have any aspirations for ethanol fuels, I'd look for at least a 1300cc.

All injector sets come with a detailed flow report showing the flow of each injector and how they compare to one another. The report also includes the injector latency information, system limits table and fuel pressure correction.
The DW injectors have a defined conical spray pattern that has proper fuel atomization and once tuned the engine idles and cruises like stock or better.
As far as comparing, I don't have anything bad to say about ID's injectors. We both have built our reputations by making quality products.
Well I ended up going with RC Eng. 1000cc since I got a fairly good price on them bnib. Good choice I think cos I have used them in my last setup prior to this build (550cc) so it should be a drop fit correct?
You already have the 1000cc RC Engineering injectors so try contacting them OR you can read the information in this thread on whether or not they'll support your goals.
Your rc1000cc injectors are low impedance and require a resistor box.
mtber, yes I originally planned on 500whp and ended up getting the 1000cc but now I am gonna go for a little lower power level (400 ~ 420whp) so I was wondering if having such big injectors for 400whp would be a problem (idling, etc.) - sorry for the confusion from the original question
h22 turbo and your in Illinois, **** hit us up next time, we're always down to help out fellow members from h-t that are from Illinois. We would of cut you a killer deal on some ID's or precisions.
